BREAKING: Head of health at UNISON Sara Gorton has confirmed that NHS strikes will proceed following a meeting with the health secretary, saying they didn't get the 'tangible outcome' they were hoping for. 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube

Steve Barclay failed to avert further walkouts by ambulance workers and auxiliary NHS staff during a short meeting on Monday.

Union leaders reacted in anger over the meeting, which had been seen as a breakthrough in relations after the government initially said it would not talk about pay with unions. Onay Kasab, Unite's national lead, said the government"only wanted to talk about productivity" and said there was no detailed discussion on a pay settlement as he confirmed strikes by ambulance workers will go ahead on 23 January.

"Productivity when our members are working 18-hour shifts! Quite how you become more productive, I don't know," he said.Mr Kasab added it was"absolutely ludicrous" and"outrageous" the government only wanted to talk about NHS staff being more productive in exchange for a pay rise.

I can’t believe what I’m listening too, Productivity Rich coming from the Government.. why don’t you do more, why don’t you show more productivity, day by day the government fail the Uk but yet you get your pay rises. Absolute Joke..

Who’s working 18hr shift? And if they are they will be racking it in with overtime

Was Mr Kasab concerned for his members when Len McCluskey was awarding £95 million of members fees for a union hotel budgeted to cost under £9 million

Stop islam and gain billions to the White civilisation 🌷🔑🐕‍🦺🎓🕊

Efficiency gains to increase productivity means 18hr shifts will not be needed. Better work like balance for the workers

Putin must be forced to accept that America the EU and the UK must always be the winners and force putin to always suffer lose and beg to America the EU and the uk
