Health Secretary Steve Barclay hints at revised offer to unions

Health Secretary Steve Barclay has suggested health workers could get a bigger pay rise in April - if they agree to "efficiencies" in the NHS.

It comes a day after health leaders held talks with the government about tackling the challenges faced by the NHS - which Prime Minister Rishi Sunak described as "highly valuable". NHS staff in England and Wales - including nurses - have been given an average pay rise of 4.75% this year but are calling for an increase to keep up with inflation, which is currently running at more than 10%.

He described a recent visit to one of the 42 new NHS system control centres that use live hospital data and digital notifications to ensure the typical time a bed remains empty is being cut from three hours to one hour.

Good, the unions are hell-bent on general strikes and more misery for the rest of us.

Looks like Brexit affecting the healthcare system in France with overcrowded hospitals and just as bad as the UK but nothing reported by the BBC!

Stop wasting money on woke BS like painting police cars rainbow 🌈 and buying flags and shoe laces

Striking health workers could get pay boost from April in return for radical reforms .

This is his letter to the “Independent Pay Review Body” 🤬🤡

Steve Barclay hints of revised NHS pay offer ahead of ' World's largest nursing strike '.

Hey BBC , cross the channel and see the same hospital chaos in France. Stop your political games and report facts.

Budget emergency. No extra money for the NHS I'm afraid.. Oh but for war mongering there is no budget limits it seems.. Washington demands it. So there are billions upon billions for Ukraine and war mongering. Absolutely hopeless.
