Don't even think about using dengue fever response funds for acts of corruption. This was the stern warning given by Deputy Minority Leader and Iloilo 1st district Rep. Janette Garin as the country continued to grapple with an epidemic of the deadly mosquito-borne disease.

Don’t even think about using dengue fever response funds for acts of corruption.

But this early, the lady lawmaker says she is already seeing an act “tantamount” to corruption in connection with the purchase of the so-called “anti-dengue kits.” When asked about the cost of the kits, she sarcastically said: “Tanungin po natin si DOH kung magkano kasi yun yang parang pamigay lang na dole-outs. Kaya makikita mo sa mga posts, may bag, may ganitong kit. Hindi po yun solusyun sa outbreak ngayon.”

DOH to decide in two weeks on the use of DengvaxiaThe Department of Health (DOH) will decide within the next two weeks whether the government will reintroduce the antidengue vaccine Dengvaxia amid the rising cases of the mosquito-borne disease. jovicyeeINQ issue about dengvaxia fast becoming natl consciousness version of “bayang magiliw”. Remember Mcbeth, “to be or not to be”... i advocated “experts” alone and only, make public unbiased, uncommercialized and apolitical research be made public, if any🧐😉🧐 jovicyeeINQ I am no expert sir but I think 2 weeks is too long with the current rise of dengue. My question would be, is dengvaxia the only known vaccine for dengue? Cause if there are others why are you still pushing for dengvaxia. Use a vaccine with good credibility that has been tested. jovicyeeINQ your right sir, there could be others out there, who knows, not me, you or loquacious pundits. It became 'household' due the dengvaxiagate scandal overshadowing what kind of animal this med if really a med is all about.
