Scott has had a long-standing commitment to supporting men's mental health.

Callander man Scott MacDonald is hoping for men to ‘band’ together in a fundraiser to raise awareness for a mental health charity.

The profits from the sale of the wristbands will all be donated to the SAMH charity, with whom Scott has already completed previous fundraising efforts - including a single day 50 mile walk in the Laich o’Moray Challenge near Forres last October. And it prompted Scott to think up the wristbands as another method of showing his backing.

Scott, who works in insurance, is now keen to spread the word about the wristbands and the thought behind them with the dual purpose of raising money for SAMH and keeping the issue of men’s mental health in the consciousness. Scott has set up a Shopify link for the wristbands - which are priced at £5 - and is hopeful of a strong response to cut through the taboo that the issue still presents for many.
