is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centers: Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, Neurogenomics and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally.
The mission of the Center for Functional Genomics will be to elucidate key biological questions, including “How is the genome regulated in each cell, tissue, and organ in health and disease”, “What are the molecules and networks that drive biological activity in cells, tissues, organs”, and “How to modify genome regulation and genome output in health and diseases”.
Linking large and diverse datasets to decipher biological networks from genomics data, including human variation, to identify key actionable regulatory elements relevant to human diseases. contribute to the establishment of a collaborative and open scientific environment by actively participating in meetings and seminars internal to HT. This will foster synergies between the groups and the propagation of knowledge. The selected candidate will have an outstanding record in various areas of Genomics, preferably with a strong track in computational methods and/or databases development; computational biology and related areas; and interest in the analysis of human systems and diseases.
