The private health system in Australia is a rip off. Even with insurance you are still forking our 100s in fees and costs. Just to access your health insured procedures. Ridiculous system. And no not worth it for 99% of Australians.

Not worth it for 90% of the population TBH.

Most definitely NOT! Have not had health insurance for years! Doctors and hospitals just have to wait.

Is private health insurance worth it for any Australian? The premiums keep rising and the gap keeps widening.

NO FUCK CANBERRA!

Private health insurance changes on Monday. This is what you need to knowHigher premiums, fewer extras and a simplified structure: everything you need to know about changes to private health insurance. Personally, I think the Lifetime Cover Loading should be abolished or at least have an amnesty to entice older Australians back into Private Health Insurance. There is no enticement or incentive for them at all. What about those who have already paid the premium for the next year? TBH only thing we use are dental cover for us and buying fancy designer sunglasses. Sometime I wonder whether it'd be cheaper to get them out of pocket rather than paying the private health insurance... :p
