Rishi Sunak may think his use of private healthcare is not ‘relevant’ – but voters disagree

Rishi Sunak’s in-tray is bulging. Britain is in the midst of an economic crisis, a winter of industrial discontent, and struggling public services. Yet little of the Prime Minister’s views on these pressing issues made the headlines from his grilling by the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday., that topped many a news bulletin. Did Mr Sunak use private healthcare? Instead of enlightening us, the Prime Minister argued that what he did was “a personal choice” and “not really relevant”.

Meanwhile, the same poll found that only 31 per cent believe that Sunak is “authentic”, while 42 per cent reckon he is “putting on an act”.

ipaperviews Get your facts right. He has registered with a NHS GP

ipaperviews It's not relevant. What's more relevent is that he tried to hide the fact and that the NHS is failing under his watch. This story is only relevent for the Left as a poor attempt to bash the Tories. Pretty sure most voters see that.

ipaperviews Our Prime Minister Rishi Sunak MP expects complete transparency from the rest of us, including his MPs and Parliament, so perhaps HE should show some Transparency and disclose who's providing HIS Healthcare.

I’d like to say the majority of senior executives at businesses have private health care. Even I do 😂 This means he has private healthcare. Two tier society. Of course it’s relevant. He’s got private healthcare because he knows the public healthcare system isn’t fit for purpose anymore, having been run into the ground by the Tories. Nice for him and his mates who won’t be counted within the resultant excess deaths.

Rishi Sunak under fire for refusing to say whether he uses a private GP🔴 Rishi Sunak under fire for refusing to say whether he uses a private GP 🏥 In an interview with the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme, the PM said that his family's healthcare situation is 'not really relevant' So that’s a “yes”….then, he has got a private GP. Good, he can afford one. I am a multi millionaire, of course I have private health care! Absolutely relevant. If the rich used the NHS and sent their kids to state schools, the funding would be there. And they would actually know and care what's going on. Obviously they don't use them or care.

Rishi Sunak refuses to say whether he uses private healthcareThe millionaire Prime Minister insisted it was 'not relevant' whether he and his family paid for healthcare despite NHS patients facing huge waiting times. See an Eng Nat, see a liar. Of course, it is relevant, as it means Sunak's priority will be to preserve & indeed increase the provision of private healthcare, which, as it competes for resources with the NHS, deprives the NHS of resources, or can profit by selling spare capacity back.
