The millionaire Prime Minister insisted it was 'not relevant' whether he and his family paid for healthcare despite NHS patients facing huge waiting times.

Rishi Sunak has refused to say whether he and his family use private healthcare at a time the NHS struggles to meet demand.

Asked if the health service in the UK was "in crisis", he told the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg show: "The NHS is undeniably under enormous pressure and I’ve spent today talking to NHS leaders, all day in fact." But he refused to be drawn on whether his own family relied on the NHS. He added: "As a general policy I wouldn’t ever talk about me or my family’s healthcare situation.Cullen, who leads the nurses' union, said: "I think as a public servant, you ought to be clear with the public whether or not you are using private health cover.

The Labour leader told Sky News: "We’re not talking about privatising the NHS. The NHS has always used elements from the private sector, GPs are an example of that."

I bet he does. He’s got no clue. Everyone needs the NHS in an Emergency. Even Sunak would!! You can’t keep pumping money into the a bottomless pit. The chief Executives of the NHS need to get a grip and quickly it’s a NO BRAINER

If people in charge are no loner voted in, we are in fact, no longer a democracy! People such as this in charge is the beginning of the end for GB

Did he lose some money overnight....millionaire?

Absolute scum if even that....is all he is, him and his wife

No bodies concern but his - if I had the money I would certainly go private - petty minded individuals trying to make something out of nothing 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧💐

He’s right it’s not relevant if he has the money to pay for private the same as any of us who would pay for pvt this is a total non story from the Bs media as usual

Of course, it is relevant, as it means Sunak's priority will be to preserve & indeed increase the provision of private healthcare, which, as it competes for resources with the NHS, deprives the NHS of resources, or can profit by selling spare capacity back.

See an Eng Nat, see a liar.

Rishi Sunak says 'it's not relevant' if his family has private healthcareRishi Sunak says 'it isn't relevant' as he refuses to say if his family has private healthcare Course his family have private healthcare. I’d like to say the majority of senior executives at businesses have private health care. Even I do 😂 This means he has private healthcare. Two tier society. Of course it’s relevant. He’s got private healthcare because he knows the public healthcare system isn’t fit for purpose anymore, having been run into the ground by the Tories. Nice for him and his mates who won’t be counted within the resultant excess deaths.
