Former Australian Test cricketer Michael Slater has asked charges related to a domestic violence incident be dealt with under the Mental Health Act.
Slater's lawyer told Waverley Local Court today his client would not be attending as "he is in hospital for related treatment".Michael Slater leaving Manly Police Station last month.If Slater is successful, the charges would be dismissed either unconditionally or on the proviso he continue treatment.He has in more recent years worked as a commentator.
