2GB's Luke Grant says "what has the Andrews government got to hide" after Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley intervened to stop Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton from appearing before a parliamentary inquiry.

"Let's not forget the Coate inquiry where we had this collective amnesia," he said. "Now I don't know how much better the NSW government is at this stuff than Victoria, but what they are not, is a closed shop... they don't shut you out and they don't talk down to you."

In Darwin, mental health patients are kept waiting for hospital beds every dayHealth authorities say a “sustained increase” in mental health presentations at Royal Darwin Hospital is pressing the system to its limit and forcing NT Health to rearrange wards to deal with the surge in demand. What percentage of those presentations are self inflicted drug abuse? Why would Darwin be free of the 'ice' scourge afflicting the country? Are not all hospitals being inundated with psychotic drug abusers? sad none of the politicians or doctors have the guts to speak in Australia about the cause that leads to mental health,,,,like drug addiction, alcohol addiction,, childhood neglect,,bad schools,,irresponsible parents,,,divorce of parents,,,promiscuities of partner,, etc Isnt it refreshing to have a Minister be forthcoming on what is happening, what the problems area and what is being done to address them without a hint of evasiveness or blame shifting Personally I believe the increase in demand is partially driven by methamphetamine use

Up to 96 per cent of aged care homes vaccinated with second dose: Health Minister | Sky News AustraliaHealth Minister Greg Hunt says up to 96 per cent of aged care homes in Australia have received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.\n\nMr Hunt said the most hesitant group to take up vaccination is women over 50 with many looking for access to Pfizer which has been granted by the government.\n\n'What we've done is two things; follow the medical advice and lift the age range for AstraZeneca to be 60 and above off the back of that medical expert panel and open Pfizer to cover everybody from 40-59,' he said.\n\n'I understand the perspective. It's a very cautious decision that's been taken today. In the UK for example, AstraZeneca is recommended for the over 40s and above, South Korea 30 and above, Germany 18 and above.'\n\n GregHuntMP Crap GregHuntMP GregHuntMP I'm glad we are picking up speed finally! Should have around 7.5m doses by end of next week and lets hope they can bring on the other 2 Vaccines quickly

Should under 60s get a second dose of AstraZeneca? The health advice is clearHealth officials say if you've already received one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, you should get a second regardless of your age. Covid19 is going down in aus history as the most deadliest vaccine PMSL It frustrates me that our health bureaucrats are sprouting lies about mix-n-match of vaccines in the face of multiple international studies, expressly to support the government’s rollout program. Pfizer/AZ combo is being offered in several countries, including Canada.
