Hunt: Over 50s should still proceed with second dose of AstraZeneca | Sky News Australia

Minister for Health Greg Hunt has advised those aged over 50 who have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine should proceed with a second dose. “There are approximately 815,000 Australians who have had a first dose of AstraZeneca and are waiting for a second,” he said.

“If you have had a first dose, no matter what your age, of AstraZeneca, please proceed with a second dose unless there has been a significant adverse contraindication. “The advice as provided both by ATAGI and the Chief Medical Officer has been very, very clear that they should proceed with the second doses as was the case when the previous advice was given.
