Victoria's weekly allocation of the Pfizer COVID-19 jab will be cut to 83,000 next month just as many people under 50 will need to receive their second dose of the vaccine

The Andrews government assured the Commonwealth it would use the one-off additional doses of Pfizer it received to fully vaccinate Victorians, and declared it was incumbent upon the state to ensure that supply was available for second doses.

“Victorians have turned out in their thousands to get vaccinated, but we can’t maintain this rate without certainty about supply from the Commonwealth.”can reveal that Mr Foley wrote to his federal counterpart Greg Hunt thanking him for providing an additional 130,000 doses of AstraZeneca and 100,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to meet the increased demand for vaccine uptake in Victoria.

“Victoria’s allocation of Pfizer vaccines has actually increased from 71,370 per week in June to 83,070 per week in July,” the spokesman said. The Victorian government this week halted all walk-ins for Pfizer at its mass vaccination hubs and limited the number of first dose bookings, citing constraints on supply.

Until June 7, the Commonwealth allocated about 71,000 doses of Pfizer a week to Victoria. This increased to 105,300 doses for the week of June 14. The federal government has advised Victoria it will receive 104,130 doses next week, and 104,130 doses the week after. The Victorian government says the state is not receiving the supply of Pfizer it needs to continue vaccinating people at its current rate.

This will not help the LNP win an election, people from other States also support Dan Andrews and Victorians

A cynical person might wonder if the Morrison government was hoping for another outbreak in Victoria so that the Dan blaming could be stirred up again….

Or to be accurate: Commonwealth increases ongoing supply of Pfizer vaccine by 10k per week from July after one off boost of 30k per week over June...

Why ? Vindictiveness or what

Last night, SAC set fire to around 250 people's homes in Kinma village, Pauk Tsp. It has a population of 1,000 people & practically all of their homes have been consumed by fire. UnfetteredAccessForAids June16Coup WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

83K doses a week That's pathetically small. Did Scotty forget to put in the order last year?

This news message videos for all the world politicians and all society ...

Or another way of putting it, which doesn’t sound quite as sensational:

Very intelligent move. We are at the front of the Q.

Why is it up to the states to provide the logistics for the vaccines and quarantine? Morrison wants no responsibility for anything. No responsibility, with a couple of media outlets available to bury stories at txt message request. It's Trumpism heaven. Blame the ABC.

Under 50s can safely have the AstraZeneca.
