Micheal Martin and Stephen Donnelly both knew about NPHET 'Level 5' concerns before story was leaked

The Health Minister was told of the "deep concerns" surrounding Covid-19 before NPHET's 'Level 5' meeting on Sunday.

The news sparked controversy after Minister Donnelly failed to disclose that he knew of such concerns during a press briefing earlier this week.Dr Holohan said he was "very clear" during the two telephone conversations. A spokeswoman for Mr Donnelly said the Minister was informed “for the first time” after the NPHET meeting on Sunday evening that “NPHET recommended a move to level 5.”

CMO spoke to Health Minister before and after NPHET's Level 5 recommendationThe CMO and the Health Minister discussed the 'deteriorating epidemiological situation' ahead of NPHET's Level 5 recommendation on Sunday The deteriorating epidemiological situation is you are using a failed pcr test and then using that data in your prediction algorithms. In 3 weeks time we'll know who was right and who was wrong. Will there be consequences for whoever is wrong? Given that the country is in lockdown, with more draconian measures and the demolishing of our civil liberties, despite the incredibly low levels of covid deaths I think the deteriorating situation relates more to democracy.

CMO 'deeply concerned' at spread of Covid since Sunday183 schools underwent 'some form of mass testing' for Covid-19 up to 28 September, with 18 schools and nine childcare facilities identified with 'more than one linked case', Dr Ronan Glynn has said | Read more: I’m not sure from watching this who’s job it was to do the sign language? Judging by the amount of signers we see on television these days, I'd say there's been a big spike in the number of deaf people in Ireland. I've only ever known one. Govts main objective was to get schools open at ANY cost! Closing them will be seen as a failure for the govt so we won’t see the true figures any time soon. Schools have to be a big influencer in the drive of transmission. Numbers are being talked down.
