Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton says while current Victorian hotspots may be “complex, large and across multiple sites” they are ultimately “completely controllable”.

The Victorian government is managing several outbreaks across the state, including clusters in Chadstone and Hallam.

Asked whether five or less daily cases was a realistic threshold given the number of hotspots, Mr Sutton said “these may well be the very last outbreaks that Victoria sees”. “We can get on top of the outbreaks. We've had complex outbreaks before. Every outbreak had its complexities and we do get on top of them," he said.

DanielAndrewsMP It took the media 6 months to convince the world covid-19 was worse than the bubonic plague. In 3 days Trump kicked it to the curb like an empty Diet Coke can. Art of War.

DanielAndrewsMP Please don't confuse Covid deaths with Co-morbidity. They were ALL tragic losses. Many died because of pre-existing conditions they suffered well b4 Covid arrived. It seems to be a final knife into someone who is already vulnerable. Keep safe, get healthy!

DanielAndrewsMP DanielAndrewsMP would you please specify your science? SunetraGupta (Oxford Uni) MartinKulldorff (Harvard Uni) all world-class epidemiologist and Pharmacoepidemiology argue ' those not vulnerable should be allowed to resume life. Where is your science? Lockdowns do not work.

DanielAndrewsMP If it’s controllable why aren’t we open?

DanielAndrewsMP Belgium & Spain reclassified their 'cases' & are using hospitalisations or PCR cycle of 30 & symptoms. Why is this test set at 45 cycles giving 93% False Positives. People are losing everything based on the results of this test, except for the ones making the rules. COVID19

DanielAndrewsMP 15 new cases lockdown for another 2 weeks. Bad Victorians. Dan not happy. He will lock you up for longer. Keep you safe he will. He is only keeping you alive so you can vote for him. Get your head out of your butt. Be a Victorian not a PRICKTORIAN

DanielAndrewsMP This is too much! Already this lockdown is longer than Wuhan. Talk about monumental incompetence on the part of the Andrews government. NSW & Queensland are able to handle cases without locking down the whole population or passing draconian omnibus laws. Get me out of this state!

DanielAndrewsMP If one in five confirmed cases goes out then all the effort is wasted! Home quarantine means no quarantine! Very stupid to let infected people go out and spreed the virus, but keep all the Melbourne lockdown and dead! Centralized isolation of infected people is what we need!

DanielAndrewsMP Andrews caused this. Threw jenny under the bus. The man is an incompetent fool.

DanielAndrewsMP Maybe he should of thought about that when he hired security for hotel quarantine!

DanielAndrewsMP Dont re-open Keep it like that

DanielAndrewsMP

DanielAndrewsMP You shouldn’t blame everything on the virus. Why other states have managed to control it so well? Can we learn from NSW or other states? Lockdown isn’t the only way to control!

DanielAndrewsMP Lockdowns don’t work as u can see in Europe

DanielAndrewsMP Lies upon lies upon lies. Just to keep the bs narrative going.

DanielAndrewsMP Pretty simple stuff

DanielAndrewsMP Just wondering who made this moron an expert?

Don't get tested, don't wear a mask.. Listen here ⬇️. 'Political Theatre'...

DanielAndrewsMP It's because you simply cannot trust all of Melburnians to 'do the right thing' and stay at home if sick. The selfish person who went to dine at a cafe is the perfect example of this. They knew they were infected but went out anyway, and destroyed a business in the process.

DanielAndrewsMP Dan's roadmap

DanielAndrewsMP The sniping of Andrews is deplorable. He is one of the few that have shown leadership during this crisis.

DanielAndrewsMP Don't be afraid of COVID. Don't let it dominate your life.' - President Donald J. Trump

DanielAndrewsMP He can’t give a date because he knows all his power has gone at that piont. the best way to control the narrative is to keep people away from each other endlockdownnow

Then why are you still in lockdown?

DanielAndrewsMP DanielAndrewsMP has turned Melbourne into a ghost town

DanielAndrewsMP People should have more options for effective and affordable treatment

DanielAndrewsMP DictatorDan is like your own personal kidnapper who entices with false promises but who’s real intent to hold that person for any advantage. BoneCollector

DanielAndrewsMP He should watch this. He will be in jail soon. Crimes against Humanity - YouTube

DanielAndrewsMP Melb people are now simply down, depressed, annoyed, anxious. What have the majority done to deserve this? We have been locked out of every other part of Australia unable to see family or friends. Businesses & jobs lost. 7 months still no end in sight. We have no life anymore

DanielAndrewsMP Exactly a casedemic. A positive PCR test not necessarily someone with actual symptoms needing hospital or unfortunately dying. Are these false positive PCR tests or herd immunity. And from a test NEVER to be used for diagnosis of a virus not even isolated.

DanielAndrewsMP Meanwhile a 74 year old obese man beats the virus in 2 days.

DanielAndrewsMP 12,9,15 cases for days 1-3 of fortnight leading to restriction announcement. This leaves 34 cases at 3.1 average for the next 11 days to get down to 5 average. No wonder Dan is not totally committed to 5 cases to open up for the afl gf.

Brett and Dan continually say how bad it could be if it wasn't for their brilliant effort to control the virus, they keep referring to oversea as an example how bad it can get. No mention of NSW who have shown how to control COVID without Lockdowns, curfews and 5km travel.

DanielAndrewsMP It’s called relying on actual science & facts 2 things which your organisation is entirely unaware of

DanielAndrewsMP Good on you Dan Andrews. Don’t listen to the petulant toddlers squealing about the necessary lockdown. So long as there’s sufficient support we can wait for the numbers to go down.

Brett you’re becoming like Andrews hard too stomach with the same babel every day numbers and very infectious same shit talk get a grip on life we can shut for ever and ever wake up you fool

Oh please. Faux Prof will say what ever he's told to say. Eventually Andrews will throw him under the bus as well.

In layman's terms. They have no idea.

How has every other state gotten it right?

DanielAndrewsMP What he really means is that the lockdown will continue and data will be generated to make that happen. Anyone who still thinks it's about a virus is LITERALLY retarded

DanielAndrewsMP New Year would be the answer

DanielAndrewsMP Despot Dan

OK! But their track record does not inspire confidence!

DanielAndrewsMP The longer these lockdowns continue, the more damage it causes, more suicides, more suicide attempts, more business failures, more debt, more bankruptcies, more depression and keeping families apart, these lockdowns were meant to help, not destroy several million

Victorian chief health officer backflips on mystery case threshold | Sky News AustraliaVictorian Chief Health Minister Brett Sutton has backflipped on the state’s coronavirus threshold for moving to the next step out of lockdown on October 18. \n\nUnder the Andrews roadmap, Metropolitan Melbourne must record five or less new cases per day, while no more than five mystery cases can be recorded in the 14 days prior, in order to further ease restrictions. \n\nWhen asked what would happen if Melbourne failed to meet the five per day average, Mr Sutton said the state had to focus on getting the cases lower. \n\n“We do have to meet the thresholds,” he said. \n\n“The mystery cases in particular is a really important one to meet.\n\n“The successful jurisdictions internationally and in Australia have gotten to five or fewer cases in a 14-day period when they've been able to maintain control into the long-term.\n\n“Places that haven't met that threshold have not been able to do that. So that's an important one'.\n\nHowever, when probed further about the likelihood of completely ruling out moving to the next stage if Victoria reported more than five mystery cases, Mr Sutton said he would not rule it out completely. \n\n“We can have more than five mystery cases,” he said. \n\n“We'd have to see exactly where we were at at that time including the trend.” \n VictorianCHO leopard spots no changeee - fire the ratbag VictorianCHO VictorianCHO well of course they have, they continually move the goal posts so we can never get out, they will always find a way to keep us trapped in our homes!
