The website says there's no restrictions on leaving home with the next step. As far as I'm concerned, 5km rule is a restriction. So many of us have done the right thing since Feb. I'll be pretty annoyed if that suddenly changes.

Once again a headline and byline in The Age that does not correspond to the content of the report. *One* (a mathematician) not “some” experts you report on are skeptical. The three other experts you quote (Sutton, plus two others) say no such thing. Misleading by The Age.
The headline doesn’t match the story. Of the 3 experts interviewed, one, a mathematician, questioned the usefulness of the 5k radius restriction. The expert epidemiologist and the infectious disease modeller both said it was helpful. So, 2 out of 3 experts supported it.

The previous 30-50 target was always going to be reached. This is more genuinely uncertain. I'd prefer it wasn't, but it's to be expected. It's modeling, and with numbers that low one super spreader kills you.
