– A 30-day old infant was reported to be among the two persons who tested positive for coronavirus disease in Davao Oriental province, the local government unit said on Saturday.
In a statement, the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental said the child was born in a hospital in Davao City, and arrived in the province on June 22. It said the infant underwent swab testing on July 2, and the results were released Saturday. The infant will be brought to the Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum City for observation.
Meanwhile, a 71-year-old woman, who was a locally stranded individual from Cebu City, also tested positive for COVID-19. The woman arrived in San Isidro town on June 23 and underwent swab testing on July 2. Both patients were found to be asymptomatic. The elder woman is now under quarantine at the Municipal Isolation Unit in San Isidro. Related Tags:
