The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) central office in Quezon City has been placed under lockdown after three employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Although the said employees have not been reporting to work since June 11 and June 19, NIA still decided to lockdown the main office as a precautionary measure.

For the period July 8-14, it will implement a combination of skeleton workforce and work-from-home arrangement. All employees who underwent the first batch of test at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center turned out to be negative. Meanwhile, disinfection of vehicles, buildings, and premises, and installation of office protective coverings were conducted to prevent and control the spread of the virus.
