Refugee advocate protesters are set to hit the streets of Melbourne again this weekend, despite warnings from health authorities who are scrambling to prevent another coronavirus outbreak.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is urging authorities to arrest and charge people who attend any future protests.

Meanwhile, Australian Medical Association president Dr Tony Bartone has urged everyone who attended last weekend's protests to self-isolate for two weeks "in the spirit of the abundance of caution". Dr Bartone said self-isolation was more important for those who are currently showing no symptoms, due to the long incubation period of the virus. He said getting a test "would only give you comfort for that point in time".

Idiots

What’s the problem with the protests if 10,000 can go to the footy?

It proves that this small minority of ignorant, selfish individuals don't care about Australia and all the businesses and jobs of all Victorians. The proof is the person who went to the last march knowing he had been diagnosed with covid19 and just didn't care.

This is great, a bunch of responsible selfish refugee advocates. Did you stop and thought about our most vulnerable members in our society? Before you advocate for refugees, take care of your own backyard. We take all precautions to protect these members while you risk their lives

The police faction are overstepping and taking too much power parliamentarians are not running the show right now. Democracy is under attack could you believe it they have not learned from the past where this leads.

Selfish virtue signalling scumbags👆

Lock the cbd down

We can lock up terrorists for planning an attack before the actual event, why can't we lock up these people before they put Victorian lives at risk

Anyone who attends should just be fined and charged. It’s getting out of hand now. Why do these people have to protest right now? Can’t you wait until it is safe to do it peacefully without putting peoples lives at risk? Especially the elderly

They’re not ‘scrambling’ they are doing nothing. Except if you visit Rye pier

With a history of policing differently depending on their politics, will this meet the grade for a Vic government exception to Covid restrictions like the last one did?...

What are you fighting for this time? Can it be argued in court without protesting on the streets?

It’s allowed in Victoriastan. Protests supporting Hong Kong won’t be allowed though.

Time for the water cannons to wash this scum from the streets. Grow some balls Dan. Enough.

The rallies are across multiple locations, including AlanTudgeMP 's office. If health authorities are so worried about health, release the refugees for their health & safety. After 7 yrs what is auspol waiting for?

Could you please refer to our media release? There are 8 locations. You’re being unnecessarily alarmist and factually incorrect. You need to retract your article and rewrite it.

Need to arrest and jail these idiots, they just want to disrupt society and make people hate

Arrest them ...

Should bring a few ringers down to muster them up and take em all out bush . They can walk along slowly. Shoot the stragglers

Great. More Woke sanctimonious garbage to be forced upon us all at the risk of more Covid infections. Nothing says black lives matter more than gathering against medical advice during a pandemic.

'May be impossible' to trace contacts of Black Lives Matter protester with COVID-19It may be impossible to trace all the close contacts of a protester who tested positive for coronavirus after attending Melbourne's Black Lives Matter protest, Victoria's top health official says. Start looking at one Green parliamentarian, who refused the test disgrace No COVIDSAFE then? It's all good if it flares up again, at least they got to protest, that was the real important thing, fuck everyone else. 🙄
