A mercy flight carrying nearly 400 Australians are landing in Adelaide this morning from India via Indonesia.

South Australia Health and Police are preparing to process the new arrivals who are traveling on a Lion Air plane.

They will undergo health checks at Adelaide Airport before heading to the Pullman Hotel in the city for 14 days quarantine. A second mercy flight is expected to leave Mumbai tomorrow carrying hundreds more passengers. Image: AP
