Liberal MP Jason Falinski says the World Health Organisation welcoming the reopening of the wet markets by the communist Chinese government was “incredibly dangerous and silly”.

10min

Mr Falinski said the WHO’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak “demonstrates the failure of some of our multilateral organisations that are set up to monitor these things”. The WHO have come out in defence of China's wet markets stating, "with proper regulation and good hygiene practices, it's possible to have safe food sold in wet markets".

WHO are condoning potential crime against humanity.

This is no longer China's business. No, it yours and my business too because their medieval wet markets have killed OUR fellow citizens and ruined OUR economies so shut the damn wet markets NOW. WHO is concerned about Livelihood or health? Maybe change name to WLO

Dangerous and silly for the Australian people was 1) Not closing borders to all 2) letting infected people off cruise ships.... Take some responsibility when in government.

World Health Organization director offers position on wet marketsThe director of the World Health Organization says wet markets should only be reopened on the condition that they conform to stringent food safety and hygiene standards. Contradiction in terms isn't it? Easy to say after the event . And what about the mentality that lies behind the wet markets , wildlife smuggling, bear bile farms , dog eating festivals , putting exotic animals in cages in malls . like polar bears? Being clean isn't the whole issue here China is non compliant... these markets are high risk .You can not trust China to open these markets even under strict regulations ......
