The NT's Chief Health Officer warns Territorians are not taking COVID-19 seriously enough, saying this virus holds no prisoners, as police begin checks on people in isolation.

The Chief Health Officer also revealed one of the NT's 15 COVID-19 patients was in a serious condition, and he expected to see more such cases.

"We have to prepare for an increase in the number of people who need that high level of support," he said.
