Prime Minister Scott Morrison has told Sky News the Coalition is "actively considering" holding a royal commission into veterans' health in response to the Save Our Heroes summit.

The summit, which was held by the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, allowed grieving mothers of Australian soldiers who committed suicide following their service to the nation to meet the prime minister. Mr Morrison said more needs to be done to prepare soldiers for their transition from the military to civilian life.
