A new form of in vitro fertilisation known as 'three-parent IVF' could be brought to Australia after the senate voted to change embryo and cloning laws last year.
The procedure - which is already being used overseas - involves using two eggs from two different women to eradicate genetic failures and disease, to result in a healthy birth.
