Georgia Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson will resign at the end of the year, he announced Wednesday, citing health concerns.

"After much prayer and consultation with my family and my doctors, I have made the very tough decision to leave the U.S. Senate at the end of this year. I have informed Georgia Governor Brian Kemp today that I will resign my Senate seat effective December 31, 2019," Isakson said in a statement.

"I am leaving a job I love because my health challenges are taking their toll on me, my family and my staff. This lil typist knows his Ignorants will believe there are no more GOP voters.

Nice one CNN 👍

Worth saying again: 'resign' and 'retiring' means.... 'F**K Trump & the GOP. I'm out!'

Too bad Stacy Abrams is busy as Governor

Bullshit he doesn’t wanna go to jail with the rest of his cronies and Trump!!

See ya

Haha

I wish Sen. Isakson good luck dealing with Parkinson’s. 🙏🏽 Georgia should now go Democratic in the Senate.

He's probably sick of Trump

Hope he has good health insurance... Why, yes, he actually has government funded health insurance.

Bad case of Trumpitus.
