The Justice Department wants a closer examination of the Centene-WellCare deal

A"Department of Justice" sign is seen on the wall of the US Department of Justice building in Washington, DC on April 18, 2019. - Centene and WellCare Health Plans Thursday confirmed that each company has received a request for additional information from the U.S. Department of Justice about the merger of the two health insurers.

It's unclear what additional information the Justice Department wants from either company in their effort to create a national health insurer, but such requests are common and don't always mean an effort to stop the merger is coming.
