Breast Cancer Australia says it is"deeply disappointed" after Facebook decided to ban images from its latest campaign which features topless survivors.
The Breast Cancer Network Australia said yesterday, Facebook rejected the images for breaching the platform's partial-nudity policy. "The opening days of the campaign are where we raise the most money for BCNA to ensure we can provide free resources to those people with breast cancer," BCNA's Kirsten Pilatti said.The platform has attracted criticism in the past for banning images of breastfeeding for breaching its nudity policy.
"For example, while we restrict some images of female breasts that include the nipple, we allow other images, including those depicting acts of protest, women actively engaged in breast-feeding, and photos of post-mastectomy scarring."

So you can show porn,post a vid of a massacre, bullying,& let Russians walk all over it,but this is bad?
So will they also ban photos of bare chested men on nudity grounds?
I'm 100% for message they're trying to get across , but I agree with FB there is no need for nudity .

But everyone knows female nudity is banned on FB. They shouldn't have bothered. You can actually make an ad about breast cancer without showing breasts. It was meant to attract attention through the nudity....so they violated Facebook's rules.

The question would be, would they ban breast cancer campaign on grounds of nudity if it were men, or is it only women that this disease is for, you advertise that mammograms save the lives of women but you say you can't show the results of surgery that have saved their lives.
