Ann Wilson, whose rock band Heart produced the hits 'Magic Man,' 'Barracuda' and 'Crazy on You,' announced on social media Tuesday that she's undergoing chemotherapy and postponing the band's tour until next year.

Ann Wilson, whose rock band Heart produced the hits “Magic Man,” “Barracuda” and “Crazy on You,” announced on social media Tuesday that she’s undergoing chemotherapy and postponing the band’s tour until next year.

“I recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous. The operation was successful and I’m feeling great, but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I’ve decided to do it,” Ms. Wilson, 74, wrote on Instagram.As part of the medical regimen, Ms. Wilson was told to stay off the stage for the rest of the year. Led by Ms.

More than 50 shows across North America are affected by the postponement. Tickets to these postponed shows will be honored, with schedule changes to be announced in the weeks ahead. The European leg of Heart’s Royal Flush Tour had already been canceled in May so Ms. Wilson could undergo a medical procedure, according to The Associated Press.

“Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025. … Thank you for all the support. This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing,” she wrote in her post.
