Singer Jane McDonald previously opened up about the tragic death of her fiancé Eddie Rothe, who died in March 2021, following a battle with lung cancer after 13 years together

Singer and TV star Jane McDonald, 61, tragically lost her fiancé in March 2021 to lung cancer at age 67. A year after his death, she broke her silence, admitting it felt like their future was stolen.

She continued to discuss the challenge of confronting retirement without Eddie, who had made his own transition into retirement at 59. "And it's funny, we should talk about retiring because he retired at 59. And said, I promise you when you get to this age, you'll see a difference. And I have. So we had lots of plans."

"So I think that is, I've got to have a different life now. And that's taken a bit of adjusting to, but I'll get there. Because that's what do, we get there."
