Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer in ITV soap Coronation Street, has taken to social media to share the pain she is in with a health condition

Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney has reached out to fans in a plea for help as she battles with a painful skin condition.

She posted a photo depicting the flare-up of her peri-oral dermatitis, and captioned it: "Having the worst flair up on my skin with my peri oral dermatitis. Please does anyone know a magic cure. It's so sore! ". The post received an influx of messages from concerned fans, including user Freire who posted: "Sorry to read about your flare-up. It looks painful. Hope you can get something to help, wishing you all the best.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
