SAN ANTONIO - Metro Health is determined to make significant changes in the lives of domestic violence victims.

Schliesinger revealed that the initiative to offer resources to domestic abuse victims began in 2021 and is now materializing. "We're visiting businesses every day throughout the city, sharing the signs and educating the community as to why this ordinance was passed in the first place and how they can help," she explained.

Approximately 65,000 restrooms will bear these signs, each providing crucial information such as how to obtain a protective order, access legal services, and file a police report. "In no plain view to anyone but just her very eyes, will be able to take that number and save her life, or maybe save the life of her sister, her best friend, her mother. It's going to multiply. It's going to be a multiplier of an effort in the community," Palaez emphasized.
