Helen Flanagan has been heard sharing how she pleaded with doctors for medication as she discussed her mental health around her periods. The actress recently told how she suffered a 'really scary' breakdown earlier this year that saw her take a break from the spotlight and pull out of her 'dream job'.

And the former soap star's openness and honesty with her fans and followers continued last month as she revealed she's "always struggled" with her hormones and has been searching for a solution. She's since begun working with a womb and menstrual cycle awareness educator who she claims has helped her to "understand her body" more.
