"Without adequate funding, pathology services will be forced to stop bulk-billing," she said.

Labor's health spokeswoman Catherine King said 140,000 Australians aren't getting pathology tests due to the cost. The Labor leader has visited a series of Liberal electorates in the first six days of the campaign, as he targets the seats he needs to win power.

Every test my parents had were at the cost medicare not sure what shorten is banging on about the australian people saved many lives with putting our hand in the pocket to donate so all australians have been assisting for decades

Just don’t ask him what his climate policy will cost Australians.

Blood tests are free now if he was going to make Histopathology tests free well that would be something but 200 million wouldn't last long so it's another hollow promise all p & wind no substance.

Excellent announcement! This is desperately needed. Those complaining clearly have no idea how the funding for blood tests work.

Can the media please stop giving Bill's cancer and pathology lie oxygen. Everything he has said in both cases is a lie. The media need to call him out for this lie rather than help promote it. Everything will stay free as long as Bill doesn't get power. So money won't run out.
