Cancer patients at Peter Mac harassed by anti-euthanasia protesters.

Distressed cancer patients and staff have been harassed by anti-assisted dying protesters who handed them pamphlets describing voluntary euthanasia as "patient killing by doctors".

"For the new assisted suicide facilitator this catchphrase takes on a whole new meaning at Peter Mac as the extraordinary and unethical act of intentionally ending the life of a patient is normalised," the pamphlet reads.News of the protest comes as the High Court has ruled safety buffer zones outside abortion clinics in Victoria and Tasmania are valid.

Reason Party leader Fiona Patten said she had been told Peter Mac staff were frequently heckled and called "murderers" as they walked into work.

So an infantile veganprotest stopping a whole city, including cancer patients trying to get treatment, is worse than this? Bit hypocritical isn't it?

dignityindying 🤬🤬🤬🤬

aishamae Atrocious harassment of sick people by people pushing fringe views - 85% of Victorians want the choice to be able to consider this care, and the peace of mind it brings. How can this be sttopped? VAD

these floggos

This is truly disgusting.

Low life bog worms.

Maybe Scott Morrison could lock these people up for a year too? Patients at Peter Mac don't need this harassment at such a time in their lives.

OH MY GOD, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE ANIMALS, YES ANIMALS THEY ARE NOT PEOPLE!!!!

That's disgusting. They should be left alone to make that decision on their own with their family. Their life is hard enough without protesters harassing them.

FionaPattenMLC Disgusting behaviour from people imposing their ethical beliefs on others.

DrJuliaAnaf1 If this is not illegal, it should be. We now have a useful High Court precedent.

Why have you not verified this story by confirming that there are indeed protesters outside the clinic? You have failed to do any basic investigation, should be easy enough to go there and get a picture or interview with the protesters..

Some people are disgusting humans falsely pretending that they were from Peter mac hospital traumatizing cancer patients as if they don't have enough to think about

These people harassing patients and staff are scum. Just like those outside abortion clinics.

Oh, the youth in Asia!

The protesters need to get a life because cancer patients are (mostly) trying to make their lives better or extend what time they have etc. Some people 😡. intheirshoes
