On Monday's episode of Lorraine, James Martin combatted health woes and stylistic firsts as he shared a health update while sporting a surprise item for the first time on TV.
Taking the question head-on, Martin reassured: "Yes, the stitches have fallen out, as you know, the last time you were on, I was in the middle of operations. As we speak, the stitches have fallen out of my body at the moment and that's all clear, onwards and upwards!"The last year had seen Martin reveal a skin cancer diagnosis on his face, leading to multiple surgeries.

Meanwhile, during Monday's episode of Lorraine, James unveiled a television first as he received a compliment on his hat from the Glasgow-born star. The television chef remarked with humour: "This is the first time I've worn a hat on TV, guys there at the back said wear it! " to which Lorraine responded by saying: "I'm loving the hat!"
