Queensland Health Minister Steven Miles will order a review of the state's public hospitals after every emergency department in the southeast reached capacity.

The state government was forced to release $3 million in emergency funding to enlist extra staff and open more beds for patients at private hospitals. Mr Miles says ‘the experience across southeast Qld is not unique to our public hospitals’, with private hospitals also seeing increased demand.
