The Austin Fire Department, Austin-Travis County EMS, and the Austin Police Department were called to the hospital at 12221 North Mopac Expressway at 5:38 p.m. after a vehicle reportedly crashed into the Emergency Room. Tuesday was identified as 57-year-old Michell Holloway.

APD Officers responded to the hospital at 12221 North Mopac Expressway around 5:35 p.m. Holloway crashed her car into the emergency room waiting area.“Some of their injuries were serious, but not life-threatening,” Officer Ariel Crumes said. “Holloway was later pronounced deceased at North Austin Medical Center.”Investigators do not believe Holloway suffered from a medical episode prior to the crash. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

“We were very grateful it turned out to be a lower number of patients,” Hopkins said. “I would say that the Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department, and Austin-Travis County EMS train for this kind of incident. However, being at a healthcare facility, we had medical providers on staff. It was a really interesting situation.”
