THE opposition leader in the Selangor state assembly today called on the state government to enhance monitoring of factories to curb industrial and chemical waste disposal into rivers and ponds in the state. Rizam Ismail said the move was necessary to ensure that the recent discharge of chemical waste into rivers and ponds does not recur.
