KUALA LUMPUR: The police will be stepping up crime prevention efforts in Putrajaya, Dang Wangi, and Sentul following a recent increase in the crime rates there.

City police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said that when comparing the crime ratio per 100,000 people from Jan 1 to March 13 this year with the same period last year, the three districts had seen increases with Putrajaya having the highest spike at 78.
