That's if you're really think its 'negligence' Much of it is just overwork leading to human error. Maybe they should spend £50Bn on more doctors and nurses. Oh ja, bad idea The Lawyers wouldn't get anything out of that, even if patients did.

Understaffed hospitals, very poor facilities, shortage of funds, social issues, scavenger lawyers... This issue is multi factorial But it all stems from poor governance

30% pass mark, misdiagnoses, surgical equipments left inside the body, Tshepong hospital failed to diagnose my uncle's duodenal ulcer despite having done g-scope, his discharge summary final diagnosis reads 'Supratentorial' he was even asked to see a psychologist but refused.

The MoH has done NOTHING to stop this! It is out of control! It drives up medical costs. It has caused specialists to leave SA & it will continue. You’d be crazy to study medicine currently in SA. Obstetricians don’t want to deliver babies anymore! Someone needs to wake up!

Medical negligence shoot through the roofMedical negligence claims have increased by more than R50-billion from March 2015 to March 2018. Check your headline. What are the reasons for the increasing number of cases of medical negligence? Are professionals overworked, are they exhausted? It can't be lack of experience is it? Not lack of qualifications, I doubt it When goverment lowers the standard of education and pass mark requirements you end up with poorly educated people who are not qualified to do the work, then malpractice happens.
