Around 20 fans ran on to the pitch during Leyton Orient's match against Lincoln City to alert the referee to a medical emergency in the crowd.Stewards initially ran to the emergency at the front of the East Stand as a fan ran on to the pitch to urge referee Stephen Martin to halt the match.
The decision to abandon the game was announced at 22:25 BST, almost an hour after the match was paused.A statement from the English Football League on Tuesday said a decision would be made on whether the fixture will be rescheduled or if the result at the time of the abandonment will stand "after consultation with both clubs".
Leyton Orient added: "The thoughts of everyone at Leyton Orient Football Club are with the individual involved and their loved ones at this distressing time.
