Martin Weigelt, described by police as one of Vancouver’s most prolific property offenders, was arrested Wednesday

A 52-year-old career criminal has been charged in connection with the theft of 150 wigs slated for B.C. Children’s Hospital.

The wigs, made with human hair and intended for kids with cancer, were stolen during a September break-in at Eva and Co. Wigs on West Broadway.Related Martin Weigelt, described by the Vancouver police as one of the city’s most prolific property offenders, was arrested Wednesday and charged with break and enter and theft.Weigelt has an extensive criminal past with more than 100 criminal convictions dating back to 1987.
