Dallas will receive ARPA-H’s customer experience hub, which will focus on three primary things: conducting clinical trials, capturing data and driving user testing.It’s a big win for Dallas and Texas, said Hubert Zajicek, CEO & co-founder of Health Wildcatters.

Dallas has already established building blocks for a biotech hub. In only this year, companies like ReCode Therapeutics, Taysha Gene Therapies and Renibus Therapeutics have secured hundreds of millions through recent funding rounds. Colossal Biosciences is now valued at more than $1 billion and Reata sold to Biogen in a $7.3 billion deal this year.“There’s a lot of reasons to be bullish for Dallas,” Zajicek said. “Life science and biotech have been bunched in the East and West Coast for years.
