K.J. Hamler revealed on Monday he was diagnosed with a heart condition and will take time off of the field to get his health in order. The Broncos will release him.

Hamler revealed in an Instagram post he was diagnosed with pericarditis"after feeling some chest pains while working out on the break before camp started." He vowed to get back onto the field at some point during the course of the 2023 season. "I will be back on the field -- better and stronger than ever -- as soon as possible this season!" Hamler wrote on social media."I feel great physically and this is very frustrating for me to deal with. I know most of you have heard or know of my story and these past few years what I've been going through on and off the field.
