A diagnosis is step one. The PC plan now will give these parents the most inadequate amount of money fo proper therapy. This was a bait and switch, off the waitlist isn't the treatment. This story totally tells half of it.

Parents angered by changes to Ontario autism program aimed at cutting wait listOntario is overhauling its autism program in an attempt to clear a waiting list of 23,000 children, but families and advocates say that backlog will be eliminated at the expense of quality of treatment. I am very mad, this was the biggest bait a switch, this has destroyed my funding for my daughter's therapy and people who have no clue about the difference between diagnosis and actual treatment tell me I should be happy. Can anyone give a rational, unemotional answer as to why it is the government’s (society’s) responsibility to provide any special funding at all? Do parents of all other children get the same treatment?

Ontario to double autism diagnostic funding to $5.5M, attempt to eliminate wait listOntario is set to announce changes to its autism program today that will attempt to tackle waiting lists for diagnosis and treatment. FakeNews The communists and socialists have all been promising us that Ontario would be making cuts to healthcare. Also, note that if it's bad news it would have been done by Doug Ford. If it's good news, it was done by 'Ontario'. Diagnosis is great but they need treatment. You are just moving them from waiting for diagnosis to waiting for treatment. Parents know there is a problem they need supports now.

Report: 1,000 patients wait for care in hospital hallways in Ontario on average dayAbout 1,000 patients were waiting for a hospital bed in an “unconventional space or emergency department stretcher” on an average day in Ontario last year, Premier Doug Ford’s top health-care adviser says in a report released Thursday. Good thing we're taking in more and more new Canadians! I waiting 5 hours for my toddler to be seen at brampton civic for a fractured collarbone bone, and homie next to us was in because he ate a fucking apple and it went down to harsh. It’s not the hospital its stupid PEOPLE who like to go into the ER for minor issues. Been there. I had a lovely 2 day stay in the hallways of Credit Valley in 2010.

Parents missing work to care for children with anxiety cost Ontario economy $421-million a yearThe analysis was conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto’s Canadian Centre for Health Economics, springing from work done by Children’s Mental Health Ontario in 2017 Kids with anxiety?...in Ontario?.....that wouldn't have anything to do with Kathleen Wynnes wholesome idea to teach kids that being male or female is merely a “social construct”, would it?....no, that wouldn't mess up a kids head. Wouldn't it be interesting to know why there are so many more kids suffering now, than 10 - 20 yrs ago. As a secondary school teacher, I can tell you that it's VERY common now!
