The TV presenter recently revealed that he travelled overseas for treatment after being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020, but the medical procedure caused irreversible damage to his liver, writes The Mirror. The 49-year-old, who recently revealed he is yet to tell his three young sons about his cancer, announced last year that he didn't know how long he has left to live as the cancer spread to his brain.
He told HELLO! magazine: "It’s blocked in a place they can’t operate on, so there’s no point fighting the cancer elsewhere if the liver’s not working. It’s a cruel blow."He then went on the share how he is currently "in pain" due to the cancer and confessed he is "not good to be around when I'm in pain."
The TV star was filming a project in Italy when he first realised something might be wrong with his health. In August 2020 he had an incident of blurry vision whilst he was driving - with tests later confirming that he had developed lung cancer, which had spread to his brain.
