Thank you Michael for so eloquently describing the feelings of fear, loneliness & isolation that a melanoma diagnosis brings. The PeterMacCC team are outstanding and we are glad you’ve felt comforted by their care. Best wishes going forward.

Turning a new face to my precious, uncertain futureMy cancer had not come only from the outer world, it had also come from within; it was mine and I would do well to own it. This idea seemed to help enormously. Do not be too afraid. My husband went through this exact experience 14 years ago. The scar on his cheek has all but faded and he is still hale and hearty though somewhat older! His was also the invasive kind but the surgeons did a wonderful job. I hope yours will also not return. You'll be good as gold soon enough. It won't be long before your show off your 'battle scar' 😊 Although not welcome; thank you for sharing your creation...as you say ,.......a new liberating chapter of life is under way. Stay well.
