I’d love to see Medicare for all. But being realistic it’s just not possible to make that jump. First and foremost, where are all those people employed by the insurance companies going to find a job. Sure the government will end up hiring some of these folks.

Keeping private insurance means tons of doctors would drop out of Medicare, which means less doctors for more patients, which means way longer wait times for appointments. Eliminating it means people lose their plans and doctors that they like. Either way has its drawbacks
