“A lot of what drove us away from primary care in the first place was we didn't want to have to see 30 patients a day,” said Edwards."We didn't want to have to try to cram a patient into 12-and-a-half minutes. Imagine trying to do that with a patient who's genuinely ill.” “We have 8,000 medical school graduates every year who cannot become licensed physicians because they cannot get into a residency program because we don't have enough,” said Edwards.
"Really up and down the line, we need more healthcare workers. And we need to make sure we're utilizing those people in the best way possible," he added.
