Defense Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. clarified his position after being criticized for saying that the Reserve Officer Training Corps could cure mental health issues. | JEMendozaINQ

“We fully understand and appreciate their concerns, as mental health is an issue that affects the broadest spectrum of society. We would therefore like to address certain misconceptions which have surfaced and clarify our agency’s position regarding this matter,” he added.

“What we intended to convey during the hearing was that through our enhanced ROTC Program, we would be able to build the strength of character and resilience of our trainees, qualities which positively foster mental health,” he said.

what if pahinga nalang yung ibigay. Kailan ba ang rigorous activities against your will ang naging solusyon sa mental health?

That is why I consulted a doctor and not just any professional.

Now a mentao health tzar

No need rotc dyan nagsisimula ang hazing , power tripping. Paano nakakatulong sa. Mental health? Walangg. Laman ang utak kaya karamihan jan nangongopyaa,, paano naging mental health

HAZING IDUDULOT NYAN BECAUSE OF THE CULTURE OF VIOLENCE AND ABUSES WITHIN!

Dagdag gastos yan. Ang galing, 'no?

Mali pa din reply mo.

What is applicable to others is not applicable to all. Why was every ROTC classes in our time is the most stressful one? Because we are the answer to the mental issues of other while they are ruining ours!

opinion: make ROTC attractive and useful training for calamities, humanitarian aid and strategic military games , survival first aid , weaponry, self-defense tactics and parade. not the heat strokes. Thank you Pres. and VP and Sec. Galvez.

Please tell Mr. Secretary that kind of resilience he's talking about is not useful in today's situation? And where did he get that belief that it could positively affect teens? YOU DONT SAY THAT! Mentality is totally different from person to person. Mr. Sec needs a therapist

Bakit yun ibang PMAer, mentally deficient pa rin?

So would properly funding already existing educational programs and institutions while expanding civilian based medical personnel, such as therapists, in academic settings. Which has merits, unlike asserting forced conscription into the military complex 'cures' people.

Bobong utak pulburang mga sundalo

JEMendozaINQ opinion: only a doctor of psychology knows about mental health. just make ROTC same as military games in EDCA much more like it and worth it, make ROTC attractive and strategic military virtual and actual war games. not a bully officers heat stroke ROTC.
