Hackers have released four files containing the medical records of about 1,500 Medibank customers on the dark web. Medibank says it includes people with chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, dementia, mental health conditions and infections.
If the intelligence community had advised politicians to implement EU GDPR cyber security standards, protecting individual privacy with massive fines for companies that break the rules, this hack would never have happened. Instead we're governed by advice from the NSA in America.
